Andrei was on time for the inspection of my property and gave me a detailed quote as we agreed. He understood my requirements and came up with great ideas to keep things in budget while achieving all of the targets of the partial rewire of my house. He finished work earlier than he had originally quoted and left the area in a neat manner. No extra additions mid-work was ever too much for him. He always accepted our additions and there were a few. And even after he finished work and i wanted something altering, he came in the next week to get that fixed. Highly recommend CAG Electrical in this world of cowboys.

Our Daughter, Son in law and 11 month old granddaughter recently returned home after a few days away to discover their kitchen and utility room were without power. The fridge and freezer had also defrosted due to this problem. The RCD had tripped for this circuit and wouldn’t reset. All appliances etc were disconnected but the RCD refused to reset. Suitable extension leads were then used to provide temporary power to essential items. After carrying out research we homed in on CAG Electrical who had lots of experience and very good reviews. We made contact and spoke to Andrei who fully appreciated the problem and suggested a time that same day that he could attend to investigate the problem. He arrived promptly at the time agreed and immediately started his investigation armed with his test instruments and tools. After a while he had identified the problem which would require further work to rectify. A temporary solution was suggested which enabled the power to be restored safely but with reduced capacity as he needed to install a lower rated MCB for the circuit. Andrei returned the next day at the time agreed and set to work replacing some defective cables on the ring main. This was carried out very professionally and he managed to discreetly install surface trunking in the utility room, this also involved drilling a hole through a 600mm chimney breast linking to the kitchen area. Andrei worked non stop to install the rerouted cables to get the ring main operational. Andrei worked very cleanly and took great care to protect exiting decoration and fittings He carried out a full test of the circuit upon completion and restored it back to full capacity. During his earlier investigation he identified a fault on the garden circuit that was also causing problems and he identified water ingress into 3 sockets. He returned the next day as planned and replaced the defective sockets, tested the circuit and put it back into service. At each stage of the work Andrei discussed what was required and provided written estimated costs which were reflected in his invoice. It was considered that his pricing was very reasonable and provided excellent value for money. Andrei is very professional and this is reflected in his work and everyone felt very comfortable with him when he was working. We would not hesitate to recommend Andrei and would certainly use his services again if required.
