NICEIC and PART P
NICEIC is the electrical contracting industries independent voluntary body for electrical installation matters throughout the UK with insurance backing.
We are proud to have been on the roll of approved contractors for over 25 years
PART PWith the changes in the building regulations to include Part P which concerns domestic electrical installation and maintenance it is now a legal requirement for all domestic electrical work to comply with the relevant 17th edition IEE Wiring Regulations BS 7671:2008 and amendments. (Soon to be 18th ed.)
PERIODIC INSPECTION REPORTSAll electrical installations should have regular Electrical Installation Condition Reports formally Periodic Insection Reports, to make certain that there are no faults with the electrics; this is especially important for landlords, estate agents, some insurance companies request them or for extra peace of mind for homeowners.
Upon completion of the Condition Report we will issue a NICEIC certificate stating the condition of the current installation along with information regarding any safety issues that may have come to light.
PAT TESTINGPortable Appliance Testing should be completed annually to reduce the dangers of faulty electrical equipment.
Businesses / landlords especially should have their portable appliances checked regularly as it is often a requirement of insurance policies.
It is just as important for households to ensure the safety of those residing in the property.
All work is carried out to the NICEIC requirements with certification and reporting to Part P as required.
