We lost power late Sunday evening and I was unable to reset the trip switch. (I know nothing about electrics!) Early Monday morning, armed with a list of electricians and very little phone battery, I began by ringing D Holt Electrical. As anticipated, he was fully booked and I prepared to ring the next on my list. However, rather than hang up, he spent time talking with me, assessing the situation and making a couple of suggestions. I followed his advice and was able to successfully reset the trip switch. Amazing!

Lucy Vendi1 StarThe electrician arrived on time however was reluctant to wear a mask when entering my home and somewhat rudely asked if I'd be wearing one too. Very little was explained about the work needing to be done (I requested quotes for wall socket installation) and for one of the things I requested, he essentially refused to do, despite it being a service the company provides.
He did not wear overshoes which I would have preferred as everywhere is carpeted and he touched quite a lot of my furniture without asking, including my bed which I found unprofessional.
I'm disappointed by the visit and although it is significantly cheaper than other electricians in the local area, I won't be using their service.Monday 26th July 2021
Lotte Reinbold5 StarWe had a bit of a DIY mishap which resulted in a complete loss of power. Dan was brilliant and couldn't have been more helpful - he and his colleague visited on Friday morning and stayed for a couple of hours trying to isolate the fault, then returned on Tuesday with another colleague to repair it. We only bought our home quite recently and don't really know what we're doing, and Dan has been absolutely brilliant throughout - clear, punctual, always willing to explain to us what the problem was and what he was doing, and very reasonably-priced, and he'll be back next month to replace the fuseboard.
