DNG electrical conducted some tests, but didn’t complete the EICR Conditioning report with the test results. I checked with NICEIC whether omitting the test results was acceptable, and they stated that it was not acceptable and advised that we contact citizens advice. Other electricians advised this was sometimes a tactic so that the subsequent works would need to be completed by the same electrician as the report was not clear enough for another electrician to work from the incomplete EICR report, and so the work was reperformed by another electrician in order to get the works completed in a timely way. I complained to the electrician who then claimed that their evaluation suggested that further tests were required. I was charged two hours for essentially the electrician to say that further tests were required and the electrician could not be bothered to write the test results that had been conducted in the EICR. I complained and the electrician did not offer any significant reduction to the costs, which I had to get completed by another electrician in the end.
