Welcome to Glow Lighting, we are a British company that specialises in creating high quality customisable lighting, using hand blown glass and hand spun metals. Our ever expanding range of pendant, wall and table lighting is all designed, made and hand assembled in the U.K.
Designed in-house by owner and lighting designer Emily Butterill, who has worked within the lighting industry for over 20 years. Our range of pendant, wall and table lighting is all designed, made and hand assembled in the U.K.
Emily's passion for colour and understated designs that bring out the intrinsic beauty of the materials are brought to life in 13 different colours of exceptional quality glass, hand blown by our British glass studio blowers.
All our lighting can be hung in singles or clusters, adding a wall light or matching table lamp or perhaps etched stars or bees to bring your individual style to your lighting.
Each piece is fully customisable, giving you the choice of glass, cable colour and length and metal finish, making each piece truly individual. If you can't see the exact colour of glass you wanted to tie in with a colour scheme, project or company logo, we can RAL colour match using a special glass paint onto our clear glass.
At Glow Lighting we also offer a range of hand spun metal lighting in various finishes including copper, aluminium and burnt steel, which is oiled and then burnt to produce a stunning iridescent finish. This range offers our customers a sleek or industrial alternative to a glass or fabric shade. Also available, on request, are extra-large industrial metal pendants which are all made in Yorkshire and can be hand finished in various paint finishes to match your colour scheme.
Glow Lighting are a small team who are dedicated to delivering excellent, personally tailored customer service, underpinned with an ethos to offer British made, beautiful lighting, carefully boxed in environmentally friendly packaging from our workshop in Ripon, North Yorkshire.
We sell directly to the public for residential projects including kitchens, dining, bedrooms and much more. We also sell to select independent retailers and work closely with interior designers, commercial project teams and architects.

Averil Neck5 StarFrom the first telephone call I felt confident with this Company. I had a good telephone conversation with someone who knew their product and obviously had a strong design bent - we discussed my colours, layout, expectations, etc, all very professional; suggestions were made and my ideas considered and finally a few samples of the flex available were sent through. I ordered three clear Jules lights, one etched with bees, with a light grey flex, neutral rose and their great light bulbs. All arrived well in time and beautifully packaged, everything perfect, unfortunately I didn't like the flex ordered (for my kitchen which is not overly large, the grey was too dark and made it too much of a feature - for me the lights were the feature and the accessories I wanted to fade away. I rang Glow and explained and without any hesitation they immediately offered to change the flexes for the plain linen that had been my alternative. No extra charge. Now all is perfect. The lights have been duly admired and coveted but sadly I have sold my lovely house and am moving; I shall, of course, be going back to Glow Lighting for my next house.Thursday 12th August 2021

Andrew Wood5 StarWhat an amazing range of hand-blown glass lights that Glow lighting have to offer. They have brought light back into our home and filled it with colour once again. The service received from Emily and her team was second to none, nothing was too much trouble from arranging a one-to-one appointment, listening to what we were trying to achieve, but giving advice & ideas from her wealth of experience, in a lovely way that wasn’t pushy. The coffee was flowing. It was just a shame we didn’t get to meet the dogs. We pushed Glow lighting to meet a tight deadline, and they pulled out all the stops to hit it, and the lights were packed & labelled so well. What impressed us most was after the sale, often the service stops with a lot of companies but not with Glow lighting, we had to go back for an extra hook, but needed it the next day, sure enough it arrived the following day FOC – As did some extra cable when Carla (my wife) decided to move one of the lights!!
