Jim and JDB Electrical Solutions will be our ‘go to’ electricians from now on. He installed 2 sets of security lights and 2 linked smoke alarms, replaced a broken socket and he also fixed an issue with our bathroom lights that had been problematic for a number of years. Jim is very neat and tidy with his work and is polite and courteous. I was really impressed with the way he approached complex problems with a solution of minimal disruption and brilliant results. I am so pleased with all of the work he has done and have been recommending him to friends and family.

We have used Jim's services for major domestic projects twice now. Jim installed downlights for us in the winter of 2018-2019, and has recently (summer 2020) installed our communal street lamp posts which now sit beautifully on concrete pillars (which he also installed with the help of a friend in construction). As for input in the customer decision-making process, Jim is incredibly helpful and responds to all messages - whether by e-mail or text. His suggestions are usually ones that require minimal disruption. I remember another electrical company (who we thankfully did not use) telling us that in order to install downlights they'd have to take the ceiling down! With JDB Electrical Solutions, there is always solution that is fairly priced, aesthetic and minimally disruptive. As for professionalism, this is one thing my family and I really hold him in high regard for. Jim is really polite, always on time, and as soon as he arrives (usually early morning) is entirely focussed on getting done the job that needs doing.

Jim Baxter of JDB Electrical Solutions is exactly the kind of electrician you want. He is friendly, professional, courteous, excellent at prompt communication, and knows what he is doing with a very healthy regard for safety issues and appropriate quality components for different kinds of electrical supplies. He really went the extra mile to rescue our destroyed conservatory electrical supply plus upgrade and reconnect our garden electrics and is very committed to getting the job finished and to the best health and safety standards. He was always on time, both with returning calls, texts and emails, as well as the actual visits to do the work or assess the work for a quote. Incredibly, for someone so good, he is also very fairly priced, and so my wife and I are really glad to have him in our 'tradesmen file' for our future electrical needs. We will be having him back again for certain, and would certainly not hesitate to recommend him to others.

Jim and JDB Electrical Solutions are the only Electricians you need to save in your phonebook. Struggling with our first home with a fair few bits to sort there seems to be little Jim can't do, no matter how short notice (regular evening and weekend visits to suit us) or the task (sourcing and fitting security lighting, complex electrical fixtures or even a bit of a basic tuition for simpler tasks). Genuinely cannot speak highly enough of this professional and kind chap. Thank you!
