I needed some spot lights in our kitchen (replacing a flat roof for slate) and an external light fitting in the garden Scott was recommended to me by FH Roofing in Coventry, as the Director had some work done by them at his own house. Scott did the first and second fix. He was on time, very professional, clean and reasonably priced. I will definitely be using him again and have recommended him to friends.

I was recommended Scott by a friend whom had used SRG's electrical services for his new kitchen and spoke very highly of Scott and his work. Upon texting Scott I immediately received a call back and when I explained I needed a HMO electrical inspection asap, Scott rearranged his diary to fit me in that week. I met Scott at the property, I found him to be very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I believe the price charged was fair, far more fair than others I'd had quotes from. I would definitely recommend Scott and SRG Electrical Services if you want a professional, prompt service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Really professional and friendly. Very communicative and on time. Worked quickly and tidily, explaining his work as he went. Really happy with the results. If I ever need electrical work done in the future SRG will be my first call.

07/04–(phone) Contacted SRG to get quote for broken doorbell & bathroom lights, said would not carry out any work until an electrical survey was done. As we’ve been in the property 8+ years, thought maybe not a bad idea so confirmed appt for Electrical Survey @£168. 29/04-Electrical survey carried out, also disconnecting our (wired) doorbell in the process due to an apparently bare wire in the consumer unit leaving us without a doorbell, said copy of survey/report would follow shortly, no major issues found. 03/05–(txt) We chased invoice & report as not yet received. 03/05–(email) Invoice & report received from SRG. 10/05–(email) We asked for quote for work recommended in report. 10/05–(email) SRG sent e-mail for quote for work requested but no attachment, was told by e-mail then SRG resent with attachment. (Two holidays in between hence 2-month gap to next contact) 14/07-(email to SRG electrical services) Asked for some clarification on the pricing in the quote provided on 2 items, confirming desire to proceed with other 3 quoted items. E-mail immediately bounced. 14/07–(txt) We let SRG know his business e-mail address was bouncing e-mails. 14/07–(txt) SRG replied saying website was being moved & to mail them at a Hotmail address instead. 14/07–(email) re-mailed previously bounced e-mail to personal Hotmail address as per txt instructions. 27/07–(email) chased a response to our e-mail of 14/07 as none received. 10/08-(email) chased continued non-response to our e-mail of 14/07. 17/08–(email) reply received saying could not book the work for ~6 weeks. 18/08-(email) confirmed work required & asked for some dates it could be done. 22/08–(txt) We chased a reply to our e-mail of 18/08. 22/08–(txt) SRG replied, offering date of 03/10 given to carry out the work (~6wks away). Date accepted by text. 03/10–(txt) 10:00 on day of appt, we asked what time we could expect them to arrive as heard nothing. 03/10–(txt) SRG replied saying had forgotten to put us in the diary, would get back to us with another date shortly. 03/10–(txt) We replied saying not happy about lack of communication & asked for a new date. 04/10–(txt) SRG replied saying had a lad off with Covid & would shortly reply with new date. Nothing received since. As at today [28/10] 29+ weeks after initial contact with SRG, 10+ weeks after arranging an appointment to do the work, & 3+ weeks after failing to show on said date then promising us a new date, still no reply received with a new date. As at today we are £168 out of pocket for work we didn’t even want, still have no wired doorbell & are no closer to getting the work we did actually want in the first place completed. I have no idea if this company doesn’t want or doesn’t need the work, either way we’re done chasing, they are no longer a ‘trusted trader’ or welcome in this household. If you like what you see above, give them a call. On the other hand, if you’d actually like some work carrying out without; a survey you didn’t want or need, the constant chasing of replies, broken e-mail addresses, staff off sick, missed appointments, blah blah blah then I suggest you probably don’t, but that’s only my personal opinion based on the above sequence of events. Reply: we didn't request a report, we called you to replace halogen lights & fix a doorbell, you refused to quote until report was done which we agreed/paid for expecting that you would come back & do the work. If you didn't give us a date of 03/10 to do the work, fail to show, then fail to give us another date, call it out here if you can. I can prove otherwise & post screenshots if helpful. Unlike you I've not made this personal I’ve only stated facts. As for being a serial moaner, look at my other reviews. Very rarely do I receive service so poor i feel compelled to leave a negative review. If you'd turned up on 03/10 & done the work we'd have new LED lights, a doorbell etc & you'd have cash in your pocket & you'd probably have a 4* review. But you didn't. Blame me all you like, but this entire situation is entirely of your making.
