The charging unit selection is ultimately down to you personal choice and while we will always give you our honest advice to suggest the charger we believe best fits your needs you are free to choose from any units you would like. Please keep in mind the charging units we keep in stock are the Project EV Pro Earth chargers and the EVIE Smart Home Charging System. Other chargers are ordered at customer request and will as such incur a lead time which can lead to delays in fitting and will need to be paid for at point of purchase. Most customers are eligible for a standard home installation, this means your charger location will be determined by discussion with you and based on how and where you park your vehicle and the position of your electrical supply. Prices start from £650 inc vat this includes the £350 OZEV grant deduction full installation and set up. If you have a particular charger in mind please let us know and we can talk you through the details of the unit and its suitability as well as any alternatives, not all units are built in the same manner and some will require more extensive electrical works to ensure the installation meets all the correct wiring regulations. A simple way to estimate your own charging time is to divide the Kwh rating of your vehicles battery by the Kw rating of your charger, so for example a 2018 Nissan Leaf with a 40 Kwh battery on a 7kw charger would work out as 40 divided by 7 leaving an estimated charge time of 5.7 hrs. Depending on your vehicle you may find that a larger charger is a preferable option to give you faster charging times, there are many options to choose from with differing requirements and we are happy to explain all of your options and make sure you are happy and comfortable with your selections before progressing with your installation.
